Single, Stylish and Self-Loving

Let’s get something straight – I’m all about love. And feels. I get emotional and dewy-eyed and probably too wrapped up in silly holidays. So naturally, I love Valentine’s Day. Curiously, even more so when I’m single.

I know we all joke about being single on Valentine’s Day – buying ourselves a dozen roses and drowning ourselves in a mixture of tears, wine and melted chocolate while watching a cheesy rom-com and half laughing/half crying ourselves to sleep (OK maybe that’s just me), but in all seriousness, there’s something super empowering about being single on a day that celebrates relationships. Yes, it’s a day reserved for loving those around you, but it’s also for wholeheartedly loving and accepting yourself. Forming a loving relationship with who you are and who you’re meant to be. It’s as much about practicing and celebrating self-love as it is about loving others.

I’ve never really been one for heart patterns, ruffles or sweetheart necklines. So this year I did away with all the frills and channeled my badass, single self. Apparently my internal badass manifests itself in the form of leather pants and patent leather boots??? Idk. Point is, I’m proud of who I am, the choices I’ve made and the woman I’ve become. So it’s only fitting that my outward appearance reflects that confidence and self-love today. Check out my V-Day looks!
